Kremlin analyzes statistics estimate of 2.3% GDP growth in 2018

MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- The Kremlin took note of the Federal State Statistics Service’s estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 2.3% in 2018 and analyzes it, but is also considering other sources of information, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Wednesday.

“This question should rather be addressed to the government. This is a serious organization, let’s say, a figure that is of course based on in-depth analysis. As far as we are concerned, we take note, we also thoroughly analyze. There are other sources for obtaining expert opinion on one or another parameters of development,” he said.

The statistics service’s GDP estimate tops the Economic Development Ministry’s forecasts.
